Data & Account Deletion
Drishya Health PHR (patient) app · how to delete your account and data
This page applies to the Drishya Health personal health record (PHR) app for patients. You can delete your PHR account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how, what gets removed, and the limited cases where some records must be kept.
Delete from within the app (fastest)
- Open the Drishya Health PHR app.
- Go to Settings → Privacy & data.
- Tap Delete my account and confirm.
Before deleting, you can use Export my data on the same screen to download a copy of your records.
Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, email privacy@drishyahealth.com from your registered address with the subject “Account deletion request”. We may ask you to verify your identity before we proceed, to protect your account.
What is deleted
- Your profile and contact details (name, date of birth, phone, email, ABHA linkage).
- Your health records held in your personal account: conditions, medications, allergies, immunisations, lab/imaging results, vitals, appointments, prescriptions, and uploaded documents.
- Dependents’ profiles that you manage, if you request their removal.
Deletion erases this data or irreversibly anonymises it so it can no longer be linked to you.
What may be retained, and for how long
Certain records may be retained for a limited period where a specific law requires it — for example, medical-records retention rules, or a statutory legal hold. In those cases the data is kept only for the required period and only for that purpose, then deleted. Consent and access logs may be retained in anonymised form as a compliance safeguard.
How long it takes
In-app deletion begins immediately. Email requests are actioned within 30 days. If any data is held under a legal-hold exception, it is deleted as soon as that period ends.
